A hospital stay. Several vets. Two years of trial and error. A move abroad that made us start all over again. What we learned along the way became Karuvia: a place where pet owners can find trusted products and expert guidance, without losing years figuring it out alone.

The Full Story
Sunny was never just a pet. He became family.
That family member was a Coton de Tuléar with a mind of his own. From the beginning, Sunny was a picky eater. His appetite came and went. His stomach was sensitive. Reflux and digestive issues seemed to follow every change we made.
Every bag of food was another attempt. Every supplement, another try.
Every well-meaning recommendation, another hope. And, too often, another disappointment.
At its worst, it became serious enough that Sunny ended up in the hospital.
We saw several vets. He was put on medications that, we later learned, weren’t even necessary, they just hadn’t been the right specialists for what he actually needed.
In that moment, I understood what it means to feel truly helpless, when someone who depends entirely on you is suffering, and you don’t know how to fix it.
Watching him go through that, I promised myself I would never again settle for whatever was simply available.
He deserved the best, not the nearest.
And when someone is family, you do everything you can to keep them healthy, happy, and by your side for as long as possible.
You research every ingredient. You compare every product. You look for the best veterinarian, the best nutrition, the best advice. You celebrate every joyful moment and worry through every health challenge, always asking yourself one question:

It took us almost two years of trial and error. Late-night research.
Switching suppliers. Comparing supplements. Eventually, we found a system that worked: carefully selected suppliers we could trust and the right supplements for Sunny’s sensitivities.
Then we made a decision we never expected. We welcomed a second little Coton de Tuléar into our family: Ghandi. His enthusiasm for food sparked something in Sunny that nothing else had. A little food envy turned out to be exactly what he needed.
Then we moved abroad, and everything we had finally figured out disappeared overnight. The suppliers we had come to trust weren’t available in our new country. We had to start over, from scratch, rebuilding an entire system of trusted products and specialists in a place where we knew none of them.
That was the moment I understood the problem wasn’t just ours. It was structural. Good products and trusted expertise exist, but where you happen to live decides whether you can actually reach them. A family member’s health shouldn’t depend on a postcode.
